That’s how Nasik is called. More than 15 years have passed since I visited the city for the first time. I guess it was 1992 when I had visited the place along with Shirdi with my family.
And now, I’m going there again. After 17 whole years. At times I find it weird that I’ve visitied places in Rajasthan more than 4-5 times and had been to south for more than 10 times. But how I haven’t visited Nasik for even second time.
So anyways, I’m going there again this Sunday. And unfortunately I’ve only 6 hours with me to spend in the city. Totally dependent on Sushrut to show me the city. I remember having visited Panchvati, Kalaram Temple, Trimbakeshwar last time. Had missed out Pandav Caves as my family isn’t very much into historical sculptures. And neither was I that time {That’s not really something you can expect from a 8 year old kid right?}
This time around too, I guess I won’t be able to visit Those magical caves as I’m gonna be in Nasik in afternoon time and that’s not the best time to visit the caves due to heat and temperature. But am sure of taking some time out again some time to visit the caves.
Nasik… Here I come…

Hi Dinesh,
I just wanted 2 ask can we have a link exchange? plz link me n send me a mail. i will do the same thing 2!
i did not know Nasik was called Varanasi of the South! Do you know why it is called so
Varanasi is famous for its lassi….
Varanasi is known for the Ghats along the River Ganga.. Thats infact first picture that pops up in front of eyes when you think of the place.
The river Godavari is called as Ganga of South and Nasik has lot of Ghats along the river bank. It also hosts a Kumbh ka Mela every 12 years.. Thats the reason….
